Glenfarg S.W.I. is part of the larger Perth and Kinross Federation of 62 individual institutes. The aim is to advance the education and training of those who live and work in the country, or are interested in country life.
The Rural is the place to come to talk to others about the crafts you are interested to learn, or improve on basic skills, discuss problems and swap ideas. Each month a guest speaker gives a talk or demonstration on one of a wide range of topics ranging from Red Squirrels to CHAS, Cookery and a variety of Crafts. There is a friendly competition, and the meetings finish informally with a cuppa and a chance to chat to friends old and new.
The SWI meets the second Thursday of the month from September to May at 2 pm in Glenfarg Village Hall. For more information contact Linda Martin (President) 07771 632830.
